Silence

Lake District, England

Blue hour reduced this scene to its essentials. Calm air, softened water, and a landscape holding its breath.

A long exposure allowed the surface to settle completely, isolating the remaining posts as quiet markers against the lake. The square crop keeps the balance tight, enough context to anchor the scene, but nothing to distract from the tension between subject and space.

It’s the contrast that stays with me. Dark forms suspended in pale blue, presence defined by absence. A moment of stillness that feels both fragile and absolute.
