Golden Trio

Lake District, England

Three trunks rise evenly from the woodland floor, their spacing precise enough to feel deliberate. The dark bark holds its weight against a wash of late-autumn colour, branches thinning into warm orange as they reach outward.

The frame is anchored by verticals, but softened by what sits between them. Water drifts quietly along the edge of the scene, muted greens and rust tones settling into one another without urgency.

It’s a small section of woodland, reduced to structure and tone. A moment where balance comes from placement rather than scale.
