Through the Silence
Flow Country, Scotland
Shot in black and white to strip things back to form and feeling,. The empty boardwalk draws the eye forward, cutting through the moorland toward a lone tower sitting at the edge of the frame. The landscape doesn’t ask to be interpreted or explained, it simply exists.
Captured on a heavy, muggy winter day in the Flow Country, where the light sat flat and the air felt still. The wooden planks were slick underfoot, threatening more than once to introduce me far too closely to the peat below. A place that rewards patience, awareness, and sensible footwear.
(Next time, I’ll leave the crocs at home.)
